Whying - the art of questioning - is a New York based womenswear brand that produces wearable conceptual clothing. Her motive is to portray the ‘wrongs’ as beautiful, by injecting them with innocence. Our garments are made by humans of New York, ensuring a smooth translation of idea to finish product. Whying follows the philosophy of conceptual art, where the interaction between the garment and the wearer unifies them, thus bringing the concept to life.
Our SS18 collection is called Unsized, which is a pun on the sizing system within the fashion industry and it's rigidity that typecasts women into a number or a letter. Formal shirting and suiting fabrics impart a sense of structure, juxtaposing with drapes, which is integral to our brands' DNA.
